Digital Media
When a brief to design a bespoke website aimed specifically at tradesmen landed on Manifest's desk, we jumped at the chance to use our digital knowledge, creativity and top notch maths skills (ahem) to create a new initiative called the Trade Zone. Built to engage with those in the trade who list tiling as one of their many areas of expertise, the Trade Zone encompasses a range of online tools and facilities to assist with a variety of tiling jobs and help prepare professional looking quotes.
The Trade Zone has two main features: the 'Job Build' tool and a stockist map - both built by Manifest. The unique 'Job Build' tool allows a job?s specification details to be entered into the site, before generating a series of product recommendations. The online calculator uses specifications that the user provides and applies a mathematical formulae to provide a clear and easy answer - a great tool to support tradesmen from start to finish and aid in the preparation of quotes.
The stockist map, which uses the Google Maps API to plot a database of outlets is used to highlight stockists within the proximity of the user. This provides a useful resource for tradesmen across the UK.
The Trade Zone also includes a series of top tiling tips and a section that houses Dunlop's renowned Brainbox initiative, which allows users to ask for help with a problem or provide product suggestions that would be beneficial in the trade, altogether building an essential resource for tradesmen.
