Flirtomatic.com is a mobile and web based flirting and dating platform with more than 4m members worldwide. The brand was looking to embark on consumer PR for the first time to help generate new registrations, raise awareness of the brand amongst news media and establish a thought leadership position for a genuinely groundbreaking business.
The Flirt Report pulled together usage data and information from Flirtomatic's system and combined it with the biggest ever global survey into flirting habits to produce a detailed insight into 'flirting' - which bridges the significant gap between smalltalk and dating but is often forgotten by relationship writers. Manifest designed the report and hosted it on our digital newsroom to distribute to media contacts and bloggers, whilst optimising search engine visibility. A traditional media sell-in was accompanied by social media outreach and a face-to-face briefing day with Flirtomatic's CEO.
Coverage was achieved across the web, on BBC News on the anniversary of the first lonely hearts advert and in The Metro, NOW Magazine and other women's lifestyle titles. The result was an increase in registrations and significant boosts in traffic to the Flirtomatic website. The Flirtomatic iPhone application also topped the App Store chart (placing above Facebook) in May. Trisha Champaneri, Communications Manager for Flirtomatic comented:
