Following the unprecedented success of its Equity for Punks scheme, which raised £2.2m in public investment from 'fanvestors', BrewDog held its first inaugural AGM in Aberdeen this month. The Manifest team attended to see how their hard earned Sterling was being put to use (yes, we're investors!) and supported the event with social media and PR activity. With national and trade journalists in tow, we headed up to Aberdeen and live-tweeted from the Aberdeen Conference and Exhibition Centre, achieving local trending of the hashtag #PunkAGM.
The obligatory presentation of annual financial results was delivered in true BrewDog fashion with video summaries of the highs and lows of 2011 set to rock anthems, beer tastings, a Q&A session and a line-up of local bands including Tommy Reilly, Bombskare and Hello Video, all compered by Radio 1 DJ Ally McCrae. Roll on #PunkAGM 2013!
